THE AFRICA-TURKEY PARTNERSHIP MINISTERIAL REVIEW CONFERENCE

(16 December, 2011/ Ciragan Palace Istanbul)

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

“The Africa-Turkey Partnership Ministerial Review Conference” will be held on 16 December, 2011, at Ciragan Palace Istanbul, as part of the follow-up mechanism which was agreed upon at the “I. Turkey-Africa Cooperation Summit” conducted in 2008. 

The Ministerial Conference is to be attended by the foreign ministers from 54 African countries and representatives of African Union (AU) Commission and regional economic communities, as well as certain international organizations with observer status. 

2. ACCREDITATION

Members of the press who wish to cover the activities should apply for accreditation to the address below in person or e-mail by 14 December, 2011 at 16:00 at the latest.

a)      Members of the national press should legibly fill in the enclosed accreditation form (also available at www.byegm.gov.tr) and attach a copy of their press card. (Media members without this press card should apply with a letter of authorization from their media organization and a copy of their official ID cards.)

b)      Resident members of the foreign press in Turkey should legibly fill in the enclosed accreditation form (also available at www.byegm.gov.tr) and attach a copy of their press card.

c)      Members of the foreign press coming from abroad should legibly fill in the enclosed accreditation form (also available at www.byegm.gov.tr) and attach a copy of their local press card, a letter of authorization from their media organization and a copy of their passport.
