As of 5 January 2016, all foreigners who are required to have a visa for entering into Turkey and who are not eligible for Turkish electronic visa (e-visa) have to make their visa applications online and before coming to the Embassy, through the website: www.visa.gov.tr

Under this new system which covers all types of visas other than Turkish e-visa;

-The applicant should fill in all required fields, and upload scanned copies of all necessary documents as explained on the website www.visa.gov.tr.

-Once his/her application is finalized, the applicant will be issued with an appointment (e-appointment) at the Embassy. The applicant is expected to visit the consular section of the Embassy for a visa interview at that specific date and time.

- The visa fee is payable in cash (USD) and shall be paid on the appointment date. The visa fee will not be refunded if the application is not successful.

-All applicants must have a valid travel health insurance which covers the entire period of their intended stay in Turkey.

-Applicants visiting the Embassy without submitting their applications online and getting an e-appointment for the visa interview shall not be accepted.

Foreigners who are eligible for Turkish electronic visa (e-visa) are exempted from the above procedures and will continue to obtain their e-visas as before, through www.evisa.gov.tr

Travellers are strongly advised to check out these two websites(www.visa.gov.tr and www.evisa.gov.tr) in order to avoid any inconvenience or delays.

Please spare at least one month before the planned travel in all applications.
