As per the relevant Turkish legislation, all foreigners applying for a short-term visa to Turkey are required to submit a valid medical insurance covering the duration of their visa.

This medical insurance must fulfil the minimum requirements below:

1- Coverage for medical treatment of sudden ailment or illness (minimum underwriting limit of EUR 30,000 or equivalent),

2- Coverage for transfer or travel to the nearest health facility where the policyholder can receive the treatment,

3- Coverage for transfer to the domicile of the policyholder after the completion of the treatment,

4- Coverage for transfer of the deceased policyholder.

As per the relevant Turkish legislation, our Embassy does not have any authority to grant exemption from the medical insurance requirements listed above, during visa applications.
