Statement No. 66 by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on elections in Kenya

 

 

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to note that the first presidential, parliamentary and local government elections in Kenya after the adoption of 2010 Constitution were held on 4 March 2013 in a widely peaceful atmosphere.

 

We congratulate the people of Kenya who maturely exercised their democratic rights and reflected their free will in the polls. We wish President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta all the success in his new duty and we confirm that we stand by the friendly and brotherly nation of Kenya in this process.
